Our Facility
A Historic School Building
Our historic building was constructed in 1912 as a public school, serving Upper Merion Township and known as Port Kennedy School. After closing permanently as a public school in 1960, the property was abandoned but later restored and renovated for use as an office building.
New Learning Opportunities under New Owners
In the summer 2021, the owners of Forge Early Learning Center acquired the building and began renovating it for use as a child day care center. With six classrooms for infants through elementary school students, our facility has been lovingly restored and is fully equipped to meet the needs of 21st century families.
We are excited that this piece of our community’s past has been preserved and this historic gem will soon return to its original purpose: The care and education of children.
